Moving ahead in its brand building exercise, Data-storage vendor Imation India is likely to appoint two new regional distributors in Mumbai and Bangalore.
Imation already has Delhi-based Champion Computers as its national distributor and service provider for its flash drives.
After two years of streamlining its India operation and distribution modalities, the company will adopt a regional distribution route to improve its presence and reach in A class cities as well as the upcountry market.
"We are working towards strong products positioning, brand building and will appoint selective and loyal regional based channel partners," Peter Campbell, COO, regional director-SAARC countries, Imation India, said.
It intends to provide one-stop solutions for all data storage requirements by leveraging on its data storage expertise and huge product portfolio.
Sandeep Popli, regional manager-North & Central India PSM head- Imation India said that starting January the company would hold city based dealer meets across 20 places and several road show programs in metros and A-class cities in this quarter.
Kapil Wadwa, director of Champion computers said, "The USP of the Imation flash drives are its wide range of options for security, productivity and portability in various capacities, sizes and colors at a very competitive price point. Though we are national distributor for several hardware and computer peripherals vendors, we will be pitching Imation flash drives and seek huge tractions from SOHO and corporate."
Presently, Imation has five direct offices and eight billing locations and warehouses across India.
