India's ISVs Standardize on Oracle
By

Mumbai, Apr 16, 2007
Oracle has announced that Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) across India and Asia Pacific have deployed more than 200 solutions on Oracle fusion middleware.
With Oracle fusion middleware, ISVs no longer need a variety of proprietary middleware technologies to integrate with different components of Oracle's enterprise applications family. Instead, ISVs use Oracle fusion middleware as a common integration and business process management technology to integrate with Oracle applications.
Customers can now leverage open, complete, standards-based service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions spanning Oracle and its partner solutions. Both customers and ISVs will benefit from lower costs of implementation, accelerated delivery times and a lower cost in the event of future changes.
India and other Asia Pacific ISVs representing a variety of industries including financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, pharmaceuticals, health care and public sector have turned to Oracle fusion middleware to deliver more comprehensive offerings for their targeted markets.
"Oracle fusion middleware has been our platform of choice for SmartQ development and deployment. It has reduced our development and deployment time, helped us meet customer expectations and provided instant support to their queries," said Tarun Agarwal, director-technology, Path InfoTech Limited.
Premia, an end-to-end solution from 3i Infotech is another solution that has been standardized on Oracle fusion middleware. It provides insurance organizations with technology to manage business operations and collaborate with customers and partners to provide self-service benefits and expanded reach through the distribution channel.
Harish Saraf, director, Nippon Data Systems, said, "Both enterprises and SMBs have seen their transaction data grow rapidly and stored in varied kinds of repositories. It is important for ISVs like us to take advantage of the Oracle fusion middleware offerings to better analyze, manage and secure customers' data."
With Oracle fusion middleware, enterprises can migrate their legacy applications simply and integrate with other applications such as supply chain management and customer relationship management. With integrated workflows, all the business components are consolidated into one manageable stack.
Oracle fusion middleware is a portfolio of standards-based software products that spans a range of tools and services from J2EE and developer tools, to integration services, business intelligence, identity management, collaboration, and content management.
