Intex Targets SMEs, End-Users With New Products

Delhi-based IT hardware vendor Intex Technologies has announced a whole gamut of products for end customers and the SME market.
The new product mix includes three cabinets, a keyboard, two mice, a Web camera and a 880 W subwoofer system. All these products will come with a one-year warranty tag across the country. The cabinets are priced in the range of Rs 1,235-Rs 1,585, the mouse Rs 260-Rs 295, the Web camera at Rs 620, the subwoofer system at Rs 345 and the keyboard
is available at Rs 375.
With a distribution network of about 300 distributors and 12,000 dealers across the country, the products will be made available through its existing channel base.
The vendor has also announced two schemes for the channel: "Intex Festive Bonanaza" for the eastern region, from October 1 to October 30, and "Bangkok Ka Safar Intex Humsafar" for the northern zone.
According to Ramesh A. Vaswani, group president, Intex Technologies, "The two reseller schemes are creating ripples in the market and will act as a stimulating factor for new launches."
After achieving a turnover of Rs 70 crore last year, Intex is now looking to achieve a turnover of more than Rs 100 crore for the year 2004-05.
