Iomega Corporation announced the new Iomega StorCenter Pro NAS 300r Series with Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003. The NAS 300r Series storage server is available in three models with capacities ranging from 320GB to 500GB.
Joseph Saroukhanian, senior product manager, professional storage systems, Iomega International S.A., said, "For companies with little or no IT support, an Iomega StorCenter Pro NAS 300r Series storage server is an ideal solution. It delivers enterprise-quality data protection with an easy installation and no network or application server downtime at a very affordable price."
Deploying an Iomega NAS 300r Series storage server is virtually automatic with Iomega's instant configuration and self-discovery software. Windows Storage Server 2003 comes standard with unlimited client access licenses (CALs), so the 300r integrates seamlessly into existing Microsoft Windows networks. Because it uses the network services that people already know how to use, such as the Active Directory, the StorCenter Pro NAS 300r Series offers easy manageability and low total cost of ownership, the company said.
The new storage servers are supported by all leading Windows enterprise-level backup applications. The new StorCenter Pro 300r 500 GB includes the Microsoft Windows Print Server option supporting up to five network printers.
All Iomega NAS 300r storage servers support mixed computing environments (including Windows, MacA, Linux, UNIX and Novell), providing insurance against accidents, operator errors, virus attacks and hardware breakdown.
The NAS 300r series includes a standard three-year limited warranty with telephone, e-mail, and web-based customer support. Iomega's Gold Plus support plan, optional on all models, provides the three-year next-day onsite repair service contract.
The new servers are shipping now for availability through value-added resellers, cataloguers, and authorized distributors. The StorCenter Pro NAS 300r 320 GB is available for MRP Rs 1,06,848.00 and with Windows Print Server at MRP Rs 1,33,728.00. The NAS 300r 500 GB with Microsoft Windows Print Server is available at MRP Rs 1,51,200.00. (All prices are suggested street prices, exclusive of VAT.)
In India, Iomega's authorized distributors are Ingram Micro India, Neoteric Infomatique and Tech Pacific India.
