D. R. Bhaskaran, head (Marketing and Sales-India and Middle East) of Iomega Corporation, said, "The storage market is increasing everyday, giving us more opportunities to reach the end-user. We plan to go about this expansion in a phased manner, and aim to add 10 partners every month."
The vendor is also planning to appoint 2 Business Development Managers (BDMs) especially for the B and C class cities. It has already appointed 2 BDMs in Bangalore and Mumbai. Besides, the vendor also plans to hold channel partner meets in September 2007 in the 4 metro cities, viz. Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata.
Iomega has began many partner-friendly initiatives including the Iomega Certified Partners Program that enables the partners to enroll themselves, achieve targets, and earn incentives based on their performance.
The vendor has finalized a scheme under which it will offer a gold coin, weighing 5 grams, on the sale of every 250GB portable hard drive that will be introduced in August 2007.
The vendor has a portal that updates its partners about the vendor's schemes, products, and plans.
