Juniper Facilitates Multiplay Service Deployment
By

Juniper Networks has announced new solutions driven by expanded industry collaboration within its Open IP Service Creation Program (OSCP).
The OSCP facilitates the deployment of multiplay services such as IPTV and VoIP by opening up the IP network and enabling applications, services and subscribers to interact intelligently with the network.
The OSCP enables service providers, infrastructure suppliers, ISVs and system integrators to develop interfaces to or direct software applications for the Juniper networks session and resource control portfolio.
"Junipers OSCP program hits squarely on the focus point for the merger of applications and networks into a single service experience," said Tom Nolle, president and CEO, CIMI.
This approach enables real-time policy and service management functionality that helps service providers to optimize service resources end-to-end and to provide service quality for advanced, performance-demanding applications.
"Allowing applications and services to be able to dynamically request changes at the network level will enable service providers to deploy advanced multiplay services with increased quality, reliability and flexibility and our Open IP Service Creation Program allows industry leading companies to work with Juniper to provide this unique capability," said Matt Kolon, CTO, Juniper.
