Juniper Networks today announced it has teamed up with a wide range of network security partners to deliver superior network access control with its Unified Access Control (UAC) solution.
"For security policy to be useful, it must be a closed loop - that is, you have to be able to implement a policy, see what happens when it is implemented, and then use the results to make the policy better," said Matt Kolon, Asia Pacific CTO for Juniper Networks. "By providing interoperability with a wide range of leading security solutions via open standards such as the TNC open specifications and our own custom APIs, Juniper Networks enables enterprises to develop and enforce the most effective access control policies."
The extensive list of partners covers vendors for:
- Identity and access management (IAM) and authentication, authorization and auditing (AAA) solutions (including Arcot Systems, CA, Entrust, Microsoft, Nominum, Oracle, PassGo Technologies, RSA, Secure Computing and Sun Microsystems);
- Vulnerability management, secure content management, and security information and event management partners (including Altiris, BigFix, IBM Tivoli, PatchLink, Shavlik Technologies and SurfControl);
- Security information and event management (SIEM) vendors (including ArcSight, eIQ Networks, ExaProtect, Loglogic, netForensics, Novell, NWG and Q1 Labs);
- Endpoint security partners (including CA, eEye Digital, Elemental Security, Great Bay Software, General Dynamics, IBM Internet Security Systems, Kaspersky Labs, SignaCert, SkyRecon Systems, Symantec, Wave Systems and Webroot).
