LG Partners Take Fresh Guard as Power Play Begins!
By
ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Apr 2, 2008
LG Electronics India, a wholly owned subsidiary of LG Electronics, has rolled out a novel cricket-based scheme for resellers and assemblers on its monitors and optical drives.
The new scheme, titled 'LG Power Play', is valid pan-India and effective from 1st April to 31st May 2008.
Under this scheme, on every purchase of LG monitors and optical drives, partners can score a boundary or a sixer if timed well. There are 2 time periods: 1st to 10th of the month and 11th to the month-end. Depending on the purchase period, the partner will keep scoring runs.
The scheme is applicable to all resellers and system assemblers buying from LG's regional distributors.
R. Manikandan, business group head, IT division, LGEIL, said, "To participate in this scheme, channel partners have to register at www.lgchannels.com/powerplay at the beginning of the program, so as to facilitate us to constantly keep in touch and update amendments or announcements of 3rd Umpire benefit runs."
Similar to the Third Umpire in cricket who tends to give benefit of doubt to the batsman, the third umpire in the Power Play scheme also gives partners benefit runs. However, this is kept a mystery and will be announced at appropriate time. The Third Umpire runs may be applied under different circumstances such as specific period, specific market, specific product, loyal partners, etc.
CRT monitors are grouped as cover drives, as they help the partner maintain the run rates. 15" and 17" LCD monitors both normal & wide - are grouped as straight shots, as they give easy runs in the absence of any fielder to stop it. The 19" LCD onwards to 24" LCD are marked hook shots as they fetch sixers on every shot.
If the partner plays the shots well and across all styles and strokes, he will be rewarded with the title of "Stroke Player" and will be credited 33 per cent extra runs.
Channel partners can claim the scheme by 10 June 2008 and can get the redemption by the first week of July 2008. It will approximately take 20 days' time for the company to process the redemption value.

Fully faltoo scheme.
It is like Showing a Carrot to a CAMEL to keep it running in scorching heat of Desert.
Moreover company should offer Schemes on its full range of Computer & Laptops as well alongwith the above products. It also has to see the present market condition at which other players are offering the products.
Secondly, company should also declare the remuneration clearily. |
