LG Unveils New Energy-efficient Monitor

LG has unveiled a new LCD monitor series, LG W52TE, in India. As per the company, the series is energy-efficient, and reduces energy consumption by up to 45 % compared to others.
The series will be available in 19-inch and 22-inch sizes. As per a company communique, the 19-inch model only consumes 20 watts under normal conditions, and the 22-inch model only consumes 22 watts. In sleep mode the W52TE series consumes just 0.3 watts.
The monitor also offers a DFC 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 2 ms response time. Priced at Rs. 14,000 (22-inch) and Rs. 11,000 (19-inch), the series will be available in the market starting from Nov'08.
