Logitech Ships Billionth Mouse

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Dec 05, 2008 1214 hrs IST

Logitech, the peripherals vendor, has announced that it has shipped its billionth mouse. According to Gartner's report, around one billion people are using computers worldwide currently, and another billion is expected to begin using computers by 2014. Logitech introduced its first retail mouse in 1985 and reached the 100 millionth mouse mark in 1996. Today, Logitech sells mice in more than 100 countries worldwide and manufactures. "Since the first click of the Logitech P4 mouse in 1982, Logitech mice have played an indispensable role in the evolution of the personal computer. During the last few decades, the way people use computers has changed dramatically - what was once strictly a business tool has become highly integrated into our personal lives," said Gerald P. Quindlen, President and CEO, Logitech. Related Links: Logitech to Boost India Presence with New Products Logitech Rolls Out New Pure-Fi Range of Speakers
