After a grand success of X-box360 worldwide, Microsoft Entertainment and Devices division has ramped up its hardware business during the festive season.
The company has unveiled nine new computer peripherals including Arc Mouse with advanced BlueTrack technology, Explorer Mini Mouse, LifeCam Show, LifeCam VX-5500, SideWinderX6 Keyboard, SideWinder X5 Mouse, Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000, Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 and the Wireless Media Desktop 1000. The products are priced starting from the range of Rs.1357 - Rs.5788.
In 2007, Microsoft Hardware had set an aggressive target of crossing the one million customer mark. The company has already surpassed the target, and is today on its way to reaching out to its 1.2 millionth customer.
"Microsoft Hardware today has a vast foot print in the Indian market, and reaches out to customers across India through a robust network of 6,000 trade partners in 110 cities - and is expected to reach 125 cities soon. For 2008 - 09, we are chasing an aggressive growth target of 25% in our business," said Jaspreet Bindra, Regional Director, Entertainment & Devices Division, Microsoft.
Ashim Mathur, National Marketing Manger, Entertainment & Devices Division, said," This is a worldwide launch and some of the products will be available in the market by November and December. We are focusing more on increasing products visibility through online medium, nationwide road shows, showcasing products at modern retail stores, IT stores and traditional IT channels."
He also added, "We may look out for bundling of computer peripherals with leading computer manufactures, but as of now we don't bundle our products with any of the companies."
