MindTree Consulting, a global IT and R&D services company and member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, announced that it will incorporate Oracle's Demantra software to provide value-added solutions to manufacturing companies in India.
Oracle's Demantra demand-driven supply chain planning solutions focus on the creation, planning, and fulfillment of demand, from promotion management to inventory replenishment, and from unconstrained demand forecast to collaborative sales and operations planning. Oracle acquired Demantra in 2006.
Commenting on the new initiative, Vikram Amaranath, vice president and head of manufacturing industry group, MindTree Consulting, said, "Manufacturers will now be able to adapt their supply chains to better cope with changing market demands. They will be able to deliver improved service levels by optimizing their supply chains, while at the same time, reducing costs by using a trusted and integrated approach to demand and supply management."
According to Rajan Narayanan, MindTree's senior vice president and head of the IBM and Oracle Practice, the company is planning to enhance its solution offerings based on other industry-focused offerings from Oracle.
MindTree's manufacturing industry group has over the years built and implemented value-added solutions in the areas of supply chain management, promotions management and demand-supply synchronization. The company's strong business domain capabilities in the supply chain and demand management areas, coupled with its technology competence in the Oracle product suite, will complement the features and capabilities of Oracle's Demantra to provide a value proposition for their customers.
