Nanopoint Technology, a manufacturer of high-end power supply units, mobile and data storage enclosures, PC accessories and peripherals, has launched its TAGAN TG1500-U33 1500 watt high-end, non-redundant power supply units (PSUs) designed for use in entry-level server and gaming systems.
The new PSU supports 12V version 2.2 and EPS version 2.92 for ATX, " ATX, BTX and other standard case specifications and meets regulatory requirements for energy hazards in the 240VA entry-level server subsystems category, the company said.
Vincent Chen, CEO of Tagan Technology, said, "Tagan is once again setting new benchmarks in PSU features and performance. We are confident that this product line will further expand our already strong technology and market leadership positions in the high-end PSU market."
Based on the PS/2 PSU form factor and developed using patented Tagan technology, the TG1500-U33 1500 watt PSU supports 10 power outputs (3.3V, 5V, 12V1, 12V2, 12V3, 12V4 ,12V5, 12V6, -12V,+5VSB) with certain enclosure lengths pre-defined. Additionally, connector/cable assemblies are required for motherboard and peripheral power. Due to its connector leads, this power supply is not intended to be of the hot swap type variety.
To prolong the fan's life cycle on the new PSU, a thermostatic circuitry continuously monitors fan speed and keeps it under prescribed power supply operating temperatures.
The PSU also incorporates universal power input with active power factor correction, which reduces line harmonics in accordance with the EN61000-3-2 and JEIDA MITI standards. The AC input connector is an IEC 320 C-14 power inlet that is rated for 16 A/250 VAC. The power supply operates accurately at 85 VAC input voltage to guarantee proper design margins, the company stated.
The power protection circuits have been built in the 1500W PSU to help shutdown only the PSU's main outputs in the event of power distortion or voltage overflow/underflow.
Nanopoint's TAGAN range of high-end power supplies (PSUs) are available across India through Tirupati Enterprises.
