Mumbai-based Neoteric Infomatique is set to introduce two new Umax webcams and a 2.1 entry-level speaker by the third week of March 2006.
Vikram Kalia, Business manager, Umax Neoteric Infomatique Pvt Ltd said, "We are focusing on a new look for our speakers, which works toward changing perception. We are the first company to come up with an entry-level product with a wooden look at an affordable price."
After the current plastic molded models, the new Umax UPB 980 Powerbeats speaker has an all-new classy wooden look with bass feature. The 2.1 entry-level speaker is priced Rs 700 and comes with a one-year warranty.
The two new webcams, model PC520 and PC350, are also entry-level products and are priced Rs 950 and Rs 650, respectively and carry a one-year warranty. The PC520 features include infrared night vision and LEDs and a built-in adjustable mike.
The company itself provides after-sales service for both the speaker and the webcams.
"We will come up with more and more products in near future with more advanced technology. We are also improving our warranty, replacements and after-sales service policies. Currently, we have 32 branches across the country and we have plans to add to the existing ones. As of now the plans are not finalized," Kalia said.
