Netgear Introduces ReadyNAS NV+ Series in India

Netgear Technologies India - the provider of networking products - announced the availability of ReadyNAS NV+ product family in the Indian market.
Designed specifically for home offices, small businesses and workgroups, ReadyNAS NV+ series supports robust features such as Gigabit Ethernet speeds, system monitoring capabilities, and built-in backup with hardware Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID).
According to Atul Jain, country manager of Netgear Technologies India, Netgear's ReadyNAS customer base is growing in the Small-Office Home-Office (SOHO) and Small and Mid-sized Business (SMB) segments as it offers enterprise-level technology in a cost-effective manner. "This particular product line is a robust storage solution, which is rich in features, easy to use, well-built and compact, and class-leading in terms of performance," he added.
The product's patent pending X-RAID technology provides full data access and redundancy with protection even during hot swap of disks and against hardware failure, ensuring the access and safety of valuable pictures, digital media, and sensitive business files. Apart from low power consumption, it also carries a special energy saving mode for automatic shutdown upon idle.
ReadyNAS NV+ family has various models including: ReadyNAS NV+ RND4425 (a 1TB Gigabit desktop network storage (4 x 250 GB) with 4 Hot Swappable 250 GB HDD in a small 8-inch high desktop design; ReadyNAS NV+ RND4250 (a 1TB Gigabit desktop network storage (2 x 500 GB) with 4 Hot Swappable HDD in a small 8-inch high desktop design (2 x 500 GB HDD included, 2 open slots for future expansion); and ReadyNAS NV+ RND4450 (a 2 TB Gigabit desktop network storage (4 x 500 GB) with 4 Hot Swappable 500 GB HDD in a small 8-inch high desktop design.
The ReadyNAS NV+ works with Windows, Mac, and Linux.
The price of the products ranges from Rs.75,000 to Rs.2,25,000 and is available through Rashi Peripherals and Cyberstar Infocom.
