New HDD to Provide Mobile Storage
By
Muntazir Abbas
New Delhi, Jul 14, 2008
With the launch of the 320 GB Apollo HDD in June, this year, Imation Corporation is launching its Apollo Portable Hard Drive 500GB today. The HDD weighs 0.9lbs. This model is ultra slim and sleek, and it does not require additional power.
This can give high-capacity mobile storage for data, pictures, presentations, videos and music. In addition to enhanced durability, it is lightweight, and comes in pocket-size. This model focuses on a higher number of users - as it is compatible with both PC and Mac systems.
It may be recalled that the United States-based Imation Corporation is one of the major manufacturers and suppliers of removable data storage products. The company offers optical and magnetic media technologies to individuals and businesses for creation, protection and preservation of digital content and information.
In our attempt to find out the price of the product, although, Sandeep Popli, national product sales manager of Imation India, did not reveal that, he informed the said product will be commercially available from the next month.
