Nimbuzz, a provider of multi-community mobile social messaging, (geo) presence and VoIP, has signed a distribution deal with Micromax Informatics, a provider of cellular fixed wireless telecommunications. Under this deal, Nimbuzz applications will be pre-installed in the Micromax handset 'Ezpad Q3', which has been test-launched in June.
Vikas Saxena, Country Head, Nimbuzz India, said, "We welcome all three million Micromax customers to Nimbuzz. Growing well over 900,000 new users per month, our software enriches the value chain of the mobile ecosystem. Users, who are looking for a device that fits their lifestyle, operators, looking for new APRU magnets, and handset manufacturers looking for a value add to differentiate, all profit from Nimbuzz's mass market solution."
Speaking on the partnership, Rahul Sharma, COO, Micromax Informatics, said, "Our association with Nimbuzz and their multi-community mobile social messaging service will bring about a paradigm shift in the way youth communicate. Nimbuzz enhances the value proposition in our mobile phone market strategy in India, which revolves around high-quality innovative technology with superior features at a very pocket-friendly price. The EzPad Q3 has been designed to maximize communication by providing pre-installed chat, in addition to SMS."
