Novell Appts Naresh Shah Managing Director R&D

Novell has appointed Naresh Shah as managing director of Novell s India development center in Bangalore. This appointment adds onto his current role in Novell as vice president of global engineering strategy.
Formerly with AT&T Bell Laboratories and Lucent, Naresh brings experience in engineering and research and development, which will help to take forward the expansion plans for Novell s India development center.
"Novell's India Development Center is the second largest R&D center for Novell worldwide and it is continuing it's expansion plans through an aggressive hiring program. I am looking forward to helping the team deliver value to our customers globally, through Novell's open enterprise software," said Shah on his new appointment.
Shah brings to Novell over 20 years of experience in the technology industry both in Asia and America. Prior to joining Novell, he was a product manager for Lucent for Mexico, with added responsibilities of managing Lucent s relationship with AT&T and its joint ventures in the Asia-Pacific region.
He returned to India after 15 years in the U.S. as managing director of the Bell Labs center in Pune, overlooking the R&D programs for the enterprise networks business unit. He then moved to Lucent s Bell Labs facility in Bangalore as director and head of India PRC. His last appointment at Lucent was as sales vice president based in Mumbai.
