The first and delayed election was held on May 23. The members of the EC unanimously decided to re-elect all the five outgoing office bearers including president, vice-president, treasurer, general secretary, and treasurers for the year 2007-08.
Prarthana Gupta, owner of Cache technologies, the first woman to become part of EC, Alok Gupta, director of Unistal, JP Bansal of Frontline technologies, and Amit Palta of Universal technologies have been elected as new EC members on the board, making the strength of the EC to 17.
Speaking to ChannelTimes, Saket Kapur, the re-elected secretary of PCAIT said, "Since its two years of inception PCAIT has achieved several milestones and solved various partners issues, but still there are pending issues and work, which will be completed in next 365 days."
While highlighting the new roadmap, Kapur said, "Going ahead we would work collectively towards our member's perennial problems, and would talk to principals companies and distributors. By mid of June, PCAIT web portal will be operational and its association would be more focused on its online partners activities."
The association has cut down the size of its committees from six to three. On a priorities basis, Legal and Ethical, Web and Publicity, and Growth and Standard are the key committees, which will continue in a focused manner to handle four members each. "We would also give more attention at complying Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Patents, and Partners ethical practices," informed Kapur.
