Panasonic to Launch VIERA Range in India
By

New Delhi, Jul 11, 2008
Panasonic, a brand of Matsushita Electric Industrial, is all set to launch much awaited, Plasma and LCD TV range in India, this week. The company has already launched its Olympics range in Japan, including 32 and 37 inch models, early this year.
With less than a month to go for 2008 Beijing Olympics, the official sponsor, Panasonic is geared to launch a range of Plasma and LCD TVs - that are fully loaded with Japanese technology. The company is set to unveil the VIERA 42-inch full HD plasma TV range.
According to the available information, the Plasma models incorporate VIERA PY-700S in addition to HDTV models, including VIERA TH-50PV80 and TH-42PV80. However, Amit Dhawan, sales manager (North Region) of Panasonic is reluctant to reveal the market strategy and sales expectation. He says, "Let's wait for the final countdown. We'll speak after the launch".
With the new HDTV technology, Panasonic believes that it can facilitate plasma customers with better quality. The company has already bagged the retail shelf space in the United States LCD TV market in 2005.
Based on double-efficiency technology, this range features ultra large screens, higher image quality, thin profile, and mercury and led free plasma panels, as well as wireless transmission of 1080p with full HD content. The technology also supports lesser power consumption.
