Mumbai, Apr 20, 2007
Oracle announced that it is seeing growing momentum from the 436 partners in India that contribute to more than 80 percent of Oracle's business in the country.
These partners include SIs, independent software vendors (ISVs), consulting organisations, resellers and VARs, who sell and implement Oracle's database, middleware and enterprise applications products, in India and abroad.
Bronwyn Hastings, vice president, Oracle's Alliances and Channel in the Asia Pacific region, disclosed this at Oracle's India partner forum. The India partner forum is a two-day event organised by Oracle to recognise as well as augment partners' contribution to Oracle's business in the fast growing Indian market.
"Our Indian partners have large Oracle practices that benefit our customers in India and abroad," said Hastings. "As Oracle continues to broaden its business and solutions portfolio, our partners in India are also stepping up their resources and investments to fully leverage the Oracle applications and technology product lines to create innovative, market-leading solutions for our joint customers," he added.
Oracle also announced the 32 recipients of the Oracle partner network (OPN) partner awards for India. Partners across multiple channel types in India were recognised for their success in creating value for customers by developing and implementing solutions based on Oracle technology and applications, as well as for marketing and sales achievements.
The award recipients have defined new markets, achieved leadership positions in target markets and helped transform business practices by building on Oracle's offerings. Winners in each category have clearly demonstrated a strong commitment to Oracle and a complete understanding of customer needs.
