Pinnacle Unveils Studio Version 12

Pinnacle Systems, the consumer division of Avid Technology, announced the launch of Pinnacle Studio version 12, the next generation video editing software, in India.
The version 12 software includes the following upgraded features: fully HD compatible, includes AVCHD 1920 and support for various HD camcorder types; tool for direct uploading of videos on YouTube, doesn't require Internet Explorer; advanced Blu-ray disc writing capability, allows multi-track editing; more import formats like PSD and GIF, new export options like MP3, WAV, Flash Video, and 3GP for mobile phones; Pinnacle Montage, an innovative tool that makes high-end compositing and animation effects accessible to consumers; and more titles, DVD menus & templates and new professional audio & video controls.
Ashish Bakshi, country manager, Pinnacle India, said, ""With the latest version of Pinnacle Studio, we have tried to come up with a solution that fulfills the requirements of users across segments and ages. With features like direct uploading on YouTube and 3gp format output for viewing videos on mobile phones, sharing videos has become easier than ever."
Prakash Bagri, director marketing, Intel South Asia, said, "Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core processor QX6700 is highly recommended for the Pinnacle Studio version 12 software. The new processor increases work speed by reducing editing time by 50 percent and disk creation time by 25 percent. Video rendering on the new processor is much faster compared to previous generations of Intel processors."
The Pinnacle Studio version 12, available with Hardware Solution Events Pro Deluxe (internal/external), is priced at Rs.17,900 and Rs.19,900 for internal and external, respectively. Free microphone and green sheet are available with every Studio Plus Events Pro Deluxe.
Certified for Windows Vista, the new software family consists of three versions to meet the needs of consumers ranging from novices to dedicated video enthusiasts. In addition to Pinnacle Studio, the basic version, Pinnacle offers Studio Plus and Studio Ultimate with more advanced audio and video tools, including a complete HD workflow.
Among the first to offer native HDV and AVCHD editing software, Pinnacle Systems Studio Plus and Ultimate now includes new Blu-ray disc burning capabilities in BD-MV with motion menus. AVCHD 1920 and support for various HD camcorder types including JVC full HD, Canon Vixia, Sanyo Xacti have also been added.
Pinnacle Studio Ultimate version 12 also includes a green sheet for Chroma keying effects and integrates three professional video tools:
- ProDAD Vitascene, a complete library of customizable transitions and lighting effects.
- Red Giant Software Magic Bullet Looks, a powerful tool for adjusting tone, color and focus to simulate the appearance of classic films or specific production conditions.
- Boris Graffiti, the 2D/3D vector title animation plug-in that includes text on a path, jitter, randomization, independent vector text, advanced type-on title animation and automated rolls, crawls, fades and zooms.
