ProCurve to Kick Off Roadshows From June 14
By
Rashmi Pradhan
Mumbai, Jun 11, 2007
HP's ProCurve Networking company is set to embark on a five-city roadshow aiming to create brand recall for its resellers and partners about its tieup with Rashi Peripherals for its entire range of products last week.
In the first phase of the roadshow, ProCurve would cover Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Guwahati and Nagpur.
Subhodeep Bhattacharya, country head of ProCurve India, said, "We are expecting around 500 partners to participate in the roadshow that will start from June 14. To start with, Mumbai would be the first city wherein we expect more than 100 partners. There would be presentations regarding the current product line of ProCurve Networking including products like ProCurve Switch 2900, ProCurve 1400 and 1700 Switch Series."
Speaking to ChannelTimes on the new tieup, Bhattacharya said, "The wide reach of Rashi Peripherals with more than 50 branches across the country made us join hands with Rashi. Also the prior experience of Rashi in dealing with networking products can be well-utilized by ProCurve to drive the volume business and volume product of ProCurve."
Apart from expanding its presence in the enterprise sector (government, manufacturer and education), the initial focus after the tieup would be the mid-market in the upcountry. "In the growing Small and Medium Business segment there is large scope for networking products," added Bhattacharya.
The company mainly plans to focus on Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.

We are using 7 HP procurve switches for last 3 years.Their sales team(S.I team) was very aggressive to get the order. But after 3 months when 1 of our core switch & 1 edge switch went down....suddenly no response..we are fed up & now we have shifted to Cisco. My suggestion to all the end users/corporates is pls buy Cisco if you have financial capacity to buy procurve. |
