Canon has launched its first 'X'perience Zone in Pune. Canon promises this store will host a comprehensive display of the company's range of offerings in the consumer space. This will include printer, scanner, projector, digital camera, digital camcorder, and 'all in one' device categories, bringing them under one retail roof. The store was inaugurated by V. P. Sajeevan, assistant director (CSP) of Canon India.
This is the second store launched in 2008, and fifth store in the country. Canon aims to open one such store every month.
Canon 'X'perience store allows the customers to touch, feel, and experience the product, before actually buying it. According to the company, these stores also help business by tapping demand through their innovative design, and will provide the right platform for new products to be showcased.
The consumer can now obtain first hand information on new products launched, and make an informed choice of purchase. The flagship store is located at Shivajinagar, Pune.
"We're seeking to retain, and win over, customers' loyalty by simplifying the buying decisions and delivering a fun filled shopping experience," said Sajeevan. He further added, "We have received an overwhelming response from our customers. We are aiming to reach out to our customers. The company also hopes to generate more walk-ins."
Canon already has a presence in the country for its product portfolio across 4000 outlets, and is expected to increase it to 6000 by December 2008. Increasing the company's presence across all retail formats, Canon will be opening exclusive showrooms in all the major markets across India.
