Bangalore, Feb 28, 2006
RSA Security and Checkpoint Software Technologies have announced an extended partnership to deliver a platform for remote access protected by strong authentication.
The two companies will integrate RSA SecurID two-factor authentication technology with Check Point Express CI, an integrated security gateway that combines firewall, VPN, intrusion prevention, antivirus, and centralized management in a single solution.
In addition, RSA SecurID technology will also be integrated with Check Point Connectra NGX, a complete web security gateway that provides SSL VPN access and integrated endpoint and application security.
Ross Wilson, MD, South Asia & India, RSA Security, said, "As businesses worldwide endeavor to strike a balance between protecting vital information and providing the benefits inherent in remote access, it has become increasingly clear that stronger authentication is needed to ensure corporate assets are accessible only to trusted users. Our partnership with Checkpoint Software security will provide customers with the flexibility to leverage a market-leading remote access solution paired with strong authentication, reducing risk and helping organizations to improve their overall security posture."
The RSA SecurID two-factor authentication solution for Check Point Express CI and Connectra will be available in Q2, 2006 through both RSA Security and Checkpoint's authorized solution partners in India.
