Rashi Adds HP's ProCurve Brand to Portfolio

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Jun 7, 2007

HP's ProCurve Networking company announced its tie up Rashi Peripherals for its entire range of products, on June 7. ProCurve's range of products would include complete portfolio for LAN, WAN, and WLAN segments.

Announcing the tieup, Subhodeep Bhattacharya, country head of ProCurve India said, "ProCurve's strong brand recognition, along with this tieup, is a win-win situation for Rashi and us. With this tieup we will reach out to regions that are full of opportunities, and are yet to be tapped. Besides, Rashi s prior experience in networking will help provide the right solutions for partners."

ProCurve products are known for its open industry standards, optimal security, and scalability for trouble-free growth, the company claimed. It provides lifetime warranty on its range of products. In India, ProCurve has more than 2,000 partners.

According to Sanjay Aggarwal, deputy general manager of Rashi Peripherals, "Our tieup with HP since the last 2 years has grown manifold, and with the ProCurve (partnership) we are confident to provide our partners with a complete range of networking solutions, which has been missing."

ProCurve has a Network Design Centre wherein a partner can send in his need to get a network designed by ProCurve engineers within 4 days. This will enable the partners to see whether their investment requirements are based on their site(s) structure, topology, wiring, and building(s) location(s), the company said.

Rashi plans to hold training programs to equip its team on ProCurve's products. "ProCurve has a range of products for various segments including Soho, SMB, and Enterprise. One needs to be fully aware of the right solution for any segment. To be able to provide the right solution, we will be conducting a couple of training programs internally to be held jointly in the coming months," Aggarwal said.

To create demand and awareness about the ProCurve range of solutions, both Rashi and ProCurve have planned to have a series of launch meets and roadshows.

The cities scheduled for the events are Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Mumbai, and Nagpur.
Will this addition boost Rashi's business?
