Rashi Announces New Service Initiative for Asus

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Mar 24, 2008

IT distributor Rashi Peripherals today announced off-the-shelf replacement of Asus motherboards across the country through the network of 53 service centers.

Announcing the new initiative, Suresh Pansari, MD, Rashi Peripherals, reiterated the company's endeavour to provide the best of products and service to its customers. "Asus is already a world renowned brand and with this initiative will surely get the same position in India as well," he added.

Initially, the plan is to roll out the replacement of motherboards and later, based on market feedback, will add more product categories, the company said.

Further to this, partners of other cities (upcountry market) will have advance replacement facility from centralized Rashi RMA center. Rashi will provide a national toll-free number that will be made operational by the beginning of new financial year. Partners of upcountry market just need to call on the toll-free number and provide the details of the products. The call center will verify the details online and issue a RMA ticket. The centralized RMA center will ship the replacement at the address of the partner; simultaneously the faulty product would be exchanged with repaired or new motherboard.

This advance replacement facility will also be available to select partners in the upcountry market having a focus on Asus business. This will enable the partners to bring the TAT (Turn Around Time) on par with the 53 locations where Rashi has direct presence.

With this new process in place, Rashi embarks on new dimension in IT Industry in India.

Rashi Care Center (RCC) team includes more than 95 engineers spread across 53 service centers In India. The service network is backed by central RMA facility based in Vasai near Mumbai. The infrastructure at Vasai includes a BGA and IC replacement machines and it is equipped to carry out repairs as per RoHS standards.

This is a very old streagy of Rashi, they only do the service of the product's sold by Rashi only, if we take a Asus baord purchased from Neoteric then Rashi will not do the service of that product, in other sence Rashi is not doing any favour to Asus or us, they are just doing the service for thier business, result - we all will be forced to buy product from Rashi only - Monoploy Suitation- same wasy for eg Jetway service done by Rashi, Logitech done by Rashi, Sony - ODD done by Rashi, this is just a business expanssion plan of Rashi in other words.

I think an award should be given to Rashi and the employees of Asus for taking the brand to such low depths. Rashi has been focussing to sell their wares to a few selected sub-distis and today ASUS is in a pathetic situation as far their market share is concerned. Look at who has gained market share from Asus - companies like MSI, BIOSTAR, JET etc whose (non) service are already proved. so it is time for Asus to find our what went wrong with them in addition to horrible service.

Its only Rashi and not Asus.... If it was Asus, it would be with other disty and Asus direct service centres, which is not there.... If this happens then hats of to "Kopal Pansari ". why not we should make MD of Asus india to Mr. Pansari, rather them to make one of the disty.
