Red Hat Launches Global Services Center in India

Red Hat provider of open source solutions has announced the launch of
its global services center in India. This service center will contribute to engineering, support and services of Red Hat.
This global services center, based in Mumbai, will build and implement open source enterprise solutions and services for Red Hat's global customers in close partnership with global Indian software services companies.
"Our global enterprise customers are deploying complex workloads using the latest open source technologies. This is creating a huge demand for quality solutions and services delivered onsite and on demand," said Charlie Peters, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Red Hat.
India is a pioneer and leader in the global services delivery model and the Indian development community is widely recognized for its expertise and its contribution to open source development. Red Hat intends to scale up the operations of this global services center by 100 engineers over the next twelve months.
"Red Hat's global services center will provide an opportunity for
innovation in open source development and services," said Nandkumar
Pradhan, president and managing director, Red Hat India.
"This center will work on a hybrid delivery model of captive skills as well as partner with global Indian software services companies to deliver services to our global customers. We look forward to nurturing technical resources that will lead complex open source projects to fruition," he added.
