Sahara Unveils Sub-15K 8-Inch Laptop

Sahara Computers, a South African PC manufacturer and a IT, hardware and digital lifestyle product provider, has launched its latest entry level 8-inch LCD TFT display screen laptop Sahara - S- NB522434- EB00 in the market.
This new addition to Sahara's Image Book Series comes with lots of features in a small package. It is one of the smallest notebooks with 60 GB hard drive and weighs just 1.1 kg.
Speaking about the product, George Van Der Merwe, COO Sahara Computers & Electronics, said, "With a legacy of breaking the price-point barrier of 30K and launching sub-10K PC and having led the way in bringing PC awareness and penetration in B, C & D class cities of the Indian market, we have further expanded our reach with our latest entry-level notebook for bridging the digital divide."
The new Linux based notebook aimed at entry-level user, students and frequent travelers comes with AMD Geode LX 800 Processor. It has an extended battery life of 4.5 hours. It is a Wi-Fi-enabled notebook and has a PCMCIA slot, card reader, which comes with a 1-year carry-in warranty. Also in the offering is a leather carry-bag.
The new notebook is available in India through Sahara Computers' authorized channel partners and all ITJ Stores across the country. Unit MRP of Sahara - S- NB522434- EB00 is Rs.14,999 plus tax.
