Salora Kicks Off Fujitsu Roadshow
By
Sharmee Roy
New Delhi, Aug 7, 2006
After signing distribution agreement with Fujitsu in June, Salora International has charted its channels to aggressively push Fujitsu products in the markets. Salora embarked on a 10-city roadshow for Fujitsu products on August 4 beginning with Indore.
With 400-plus channel network, the distributor is looking to grow its base in the country. Currently, it has the distribution rights for Fujitsu notebooks, desktops and TFTs, and is in talks for the distribution of scanners.
Speaking about its relationship with Fujitsu, Aditya Mahajan, national sales manager, IT division, Salora International, said, "We are really upbeat about Fujitsu products. Both Fujitsu and Salora have long-term plans for the Indian market. One person leaving the organization (Ramanjeet Singh) will not affect the relationship between Salora and Fujitsu."
Mahajan added, "We have presence in over 24 locations and now we are looking to move out of A and B class cities and get deeper into smaller C and D class cities. We would like to target cities like Jabalpur, Bhopal, etc."
The distributor has also tied up with Bajaj to facilitate financing options to buy Fujitsu products. It is also making investments in marketing activities.
With Acer as one of the brands in its kitty, Salora plans to target about 2,100 partners in the country
