Samsung Unveils Feature-Rich Phones at Mobile Asia

Samsung Telecommunications India (STI) launched its new range of mobile handsets at the Mobile Asia 2008, India's largest consumer exhibition on mobility.
The company showcased 18 new models during the event, which was held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from February 29 to March 3, 2008.
The new handset range targets consumers across the multimedia (imaging & music), business lifestyle and popular segments. The company is also showcasing its flagship 'Soul', 'Serenata' and 'Armani' models during the event.
Sunil Dutt, country head of Samsung Telecommunications India, said, "We are using the Mobile Asia platform to launch a series of new sleek and stylish Samsung mobile phones. The clearly differentiated features of these phones makes the Samsung 2008 mobile range the complete answer to consumer needs across different segments of the market."
The i450 brings the experience of 3D surround sound powered by ICE Power amplifiers by Bang and Olufsen. The Symbian S60 OS allows third-party application hosting and key benefits like document reader/editor and e-mailing. This EDGE enabled phone has a 2.4" LCD screen and a robust internal memory of 60 MB. The SHG i450 has been priced at Rs. 15,000.
SGH-G800 is equipped with camera features such as face detection, Xenon flash and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), and is priced at Rs. 21,799. F490 comes with 3.2 Large TFT screen with complete touch user interface cased in a slim design. It comes with a 5 megapixel camera, video playback (@ 30 frames per second) and recording.
Samsung i550, D 880, and i780 address the needs of the business consumer.
The popular category of Samsung mobile phones boast of Samsung F250 and J210. While F250 is a mass music phone, J210 is a compact 2-megapixel camera phone with FM recording and bluetooth music streaming.
While 'Soul' has been designed to enhance the usability for the user, 'Serenata' seeks to give the user a 'true music' experience.
Samsung also showcased its Mobile TV, Samsung P960, at Mobile Asia.
