SanDisk to Host APAC Distributors' Meet in India

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Mar 17, 2009 1502 hrs IST

SanDisk has decided to host its annual APAC Distributors' Meeting in India for the first time. To be held from March 24-25, 2009 in New Delhi, the meeting is invitation-only, and provides SanDisk's channel partners and distributors with the opportunity to come together in a growing market.

"India is well-placed in the APAC region and represents an important market for SanDisk Corporation. SanDisk India has achieved many milestones over the last year, making India an ideal venue for this meeting," said Gavin Wu, Managing Director (APAC), SanDisk.

Elaborating more on it, Manisha Sood, Country Manager (India & SAARC), SanDisk, said, "One of our top selling products in India is the microSD card, which is indispensable to the millions of phones sold to Indian consumers last year. In addition, USBs and memory cards for digital cameras and camcorders continue to meet consumer demand in the Indian market."

In order to address the growing needs of mobile device users in India, SanDisk is eager to create a widespread channel network and distribution channel. "Channel and distribution partners play an important role in furthering the growth of flash memory in India, by acting as a bridge between SanDisk and its existing, potential and prospective customers," Sood said.
