SatNav Technologies, a Hyderabad headquartered IT products company, has now launched its SatGuide turn-by-turn navigation and planning solution for laptops and desktops for the retail market. SatNav's GPS products are sold under the brand SatGuide.
SatGuide is now offering this GPS tool with Destinator 7.0, which has made an impact across the world with its easy-to-use interface.
Speaking about the launch, Amit Prasad, Founder CEO and MD of SatNav Technologies, said, "Our focus on GPS solutions for the mass market now goes a step further with SatGuide that it can be installed in every household that has a desktop or laptop, which leads to a significant efficiency enhancement for both individuals and corporate. The larger screen of your system ensures that many more if-but and what-if analysis scenarios can be played out, to help arrive at the best plan of travel."
To access maps on desktops, there is no need for internet connection once SatGuide is installed. Sitting in one s office, it is now possible to feed in a start point, end point and get the complete details of distance, time to travel etc. When prior information is available regarding traffic congestion from any other sources like an FM channel, it is also possible to block those routes and get the most optimum route as an output.
Also, when laptop users plan to visit new cities in India or need to plan their route within their own city before leaving office, they can now load SatGuide on their laptops and navigate with ease. Instead of having to search for addresses after reaching the vicinity of the destination, the user can now seek details, mark out the destination on his desktop and then go directly for the meeting. The application will be useful for logistics, distribution companies and fleet managers as well.
According to the company, they have now been able to bring 90% precision to their maps of India and its major cities. The company offers updated maps every quarter, which are offered free once to every existing customers.
