SiSM661GX Based Dell Low Cost PC

SiS has announced its cooperation with Dell to develop the latest low cost PC EC280 by integrating the SiSM661GX chipset. Dell EC280 is targeted to attract PC users to make their first PC purchase, and it s also a perfect implementation for creating more business opportunities in emerging countries.
Daniel Chen, CEO and president of SiS said, "We want to allow users who need basic PC functions to enjoy the convenience brought by modern IT applications. By cooperating with DELL, we hope to bring more low-cost PC solutions to global PC users, especially for emerging markets. We are glad to join this plan, and hope to further our contribution to the global society."
The size of Dell EC280 is one-eighth the size of the regular ATX chassis, which is about 4.5 liter. By integrating the SiSM661GX chipset as a core of its Mini-iTX motherboard, Dell EC280 has all the basic PC functions.
The extra power-saving feature of SiSM661GX, paired with the Intel Celeron M 205 FSB400MHz processors and DDR 512/256 memory, limit the Dell EC280 consumption to 65watts per minute. It has features like office document editing, multimedia playing, photo processing, online web-surfing, and e-mailing.
