The Siemon Company - a vendor of network cabling solutions - announced the next generation of its Category 10G 6A F/UTP (screened) MC patch cord.
"As part of a 10G 6A F/UTP end-to-end channel, Siemon's new MC cords meet or exceed all 10GBASE-T standard requirements, including all alien crosstalk parameters," said Rajesh Kumar, country manager of The Siemon Company.
The new 10Gb/s-capable, RJ45-style cords feature a color-coding clip. Available in a variety of colors, these snap-on clips can be added or removed while the plug is inserted or disengaged - allowing greater flexibility in patch field identification and management.
Siemon's 10G 6A F/UTP MC cords feature an ultra-slim boot, allowing tight side-stackability in high density patching environments such as blade servers. The redesigned plug also features an enhanced strain-relief boot that ensures proper bend radius while maximizing flexibility and ensuring boot retention. Coupled with Siemon's patented cross-pair metallic isolator and 360-degree crimp, this feature maintains cable pair geometry and eliminates deformation, thus resulting in higher transmission performance.
All Siemon MC patch cords are compatible with standards-based RJ45 outlets, and meet FCC68.500 and IEC 60603-7 specifications - ensuring reliability and long-term resistance to humidity-based corrosion, extreme temperatures, and airborne contaminants.
This UL-listed and 100% transmission-tested patch cord is compatible with T568A and T568B wiring schemes, which allows it to accommodate all Ethernet applications.
