Strontium Exhibits New Range at Intel Conference

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Sep 25, 2009 1341 hrs IST

Strontium, one of the world's leading suppliers of memory modules, is participating as a platinum sponsor at the Intel Channel Conference.

The event, which was held recently in 15 cities across India, is designed to educate Intel channel distribution partners on the latest in product launches, technology announcements and program benefits.

At the conference, Strontium showcased its entire range of DRAM and FLASH products with highlight on its industry leading 4GB DDR3 and 4GB DDR2 modules.

According to Ajay Kogta, country manager, India subcontinent, Strontium Technology, Samsung, Micron, Hynix and Elpida, the current leaders in chip production, have a reputation of maintaining high standards for their ICs and the chips are consistently available in the market.

"Strontium uses only major brand chipsets. On the other hand, UTT and ETT chips are tested, but not as thoroughly as major chips. Because testing standards have been lowered, the cost of UTT or ETT is better, but performance and quality are poor," he said.

He added, "The memory industry is in the midst of a solid rebound. To ride with the upward memory trend and strengthen Strontium s brand awareness and boost sales, Strontium will continue the marketing campaigns, channel and PR activities as well as joint promotion programs with our channel partners."

The conference will be rolled out across 13 more cities over the next couple of months, beginning with Mumbai on October 8.

As per Mr. Ajay Kogta, statement strontium is giving infirior quality memory for ETT & UTT What does this means only price no quality.... Also I have check, they do not have 4 GB DDR3 or 4 GB DDR2 Memory, then how some one tested this... Is this samples ... if available what is the cost... Is that available with shripati ????? if not then from whom ????? and is your memory available in north or also available in south and West. .... "Strontium uses only major brand chipsets. On the other hand, UTT and ETT chips are tested, but not as thoroughly as major chips. Because testing standards have been lowered, the cost of UTT or ETT is better, but performance and quality are poor," he said.

It is good to know that Strontium is using ICC to interact with the channel and inform them about market trend and new products.
