TVSE to Focus More On Transaction Products
By
Sandhya Malhotra
Delhi, Apr 13, 2007
In an attempt to push up the company's growth plans, Chennai-based TVSE has decided to focus on transaction and will make a significant migration from transaction printer to transaction products.
This means the vendor will focus more on new products in transaction space - retail, front-office applications, beyond DMP, such as thermal printers, label printing and RFID.
"Our company has a very distinct policy of working with national distributors, regional channel distribution partners and authorized dealer partners. We strongly believe there is a clear value, which all the three tiers give. As a company we will aspire to bring a good distribution network and growth in the market," said S. Narendran, vice president, printers business and marketing, TVS Electronics.
"For upcountry market the company has started appointing regional partners along with national distributors," he said and cited the example of appointing two regional distributors in Siliguri recently.
Stating that the company is betting high on its passbook printers, he said, "Last year TVS-E made significant progress in making passbook printers attractive for our customers. Passbook printer business has grown three folds in the past one year. It is all set to double in the current year."
At the end of the fourth quarter of the financial year 2006-07, TVS-E had a market share of 40 percent and is confident of sustaining this for the rest of the year in 2007. "We are aiming for a growth of 15 percent in the current year," he says.
Dispelling notions that the vendor has not able to provide updated information on latest product models, rate list and current schemes, Narendran, said, "TVS-E's sustained market share in India is primarily because of our excellent communication and support to the channel. Our channel programs are considered to be a benchmark and showcase our cordial relationship with our partners. We thank you for your feedback and will definitely look into the matter."
