Tally Solutions has launched Tally 7.2 version, India's first VAT complaint business accounting solution.
Explaining the Tally initiative, Bharat Goenka, managing director, Tally Solutions, said "VAT is simple and is aimed at transparency, but the changeover to VAT is a challenge, requiring a clear understanding of rules and compliance norms by the business community and importantly the trading community. Tally Solutions has driven over 75 percent of all VAT related education in India via seminars over the last 2 months and we have committed to conduct over 1500 customer even to demystify VAT in the coming weeks.'

Tally 7.2 version is an integrated enterprise solution which offers accounting, inventory, and reporting capabilities and simplifies business accounting process to manage change in VAT and TDS. It eases the in calculating and creating multiple records automatically from purchase and sales invoices and is priced at Rs 4,950 for a single user license and for multi user license it is priced at Rs 13,500. The up gradation of the new version is free for the existing users.

Bharath Gopalakrishna, president, Tally Solutions, said, "The Tally 7.2 version works both on MS Windows and Linux Platform as Tally aims at decreasing the cost of ownership to the small business users and the software helps manage the change in a simplified manner."

It will be available through an extensive channel network of over 25,000 resellers in the country. Tally is also looking to expand their presence in the Middle East and South East Asia. The company is aiming at over 8 million establishments in the SME segment.

Talking about piracy Goenka said, "We have addressed the core reasons for piracy which is availability and affordability and now that our products are available in across 85 cities it solves the availability issue and the new version is also very affordable."

The multilingual accounting software would also be available in about 6-8 months time.
