Tata Elxsi Enters CAE Market in India

Tata Elxsi, the technology arm of the multi-billion US$ Tata Group, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Open Engineering, the R&D subsidiary of Samtech Group, a provider of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software.
As per the MoU, Tata Elxsi will be Open Engineering's exclusive partner in India for the distribution and support of OOFELIE, multi-physics numerical simulation professional software. The software offers easy to use CAD and CAE all-in-one solutions for industrial engineering departments and research centers, the company said.
OOFELIE framework is a design flow software tool for rapid virtual prototyping, parametric simulations and design optimization for electromechanical systems. It solves complete multi-physics problems, and provides customized parametric designs.

Prasad, general manager & head (System Integration Services), Tata Elxsi, said, "Increasingly, industrial designers and design engineers are looking for cutting-edge solutions, which can improve product styling and functionalities. This partnership will enable us to address the requirements of the CAE market in India, and offer support in implementing cost-effective technologically advanced solutions in the shortest possible time."
