Transcend Intros 32GB Pen Drives in India

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Mar 21, 2008

To meet the growing demand from Indian consumers for large-capacity portable storage solutions, Transcend Information, a manufacturer of flash memory products, announced the availability of its latest high-capacity USB flash drive - the 32GB JetFlash V60 in India.

Transcend claimed it is the first brand selling pen drives with the capacity of 32GB in India.

About the size of an AA battery (61mm x 18.6mm x 9.8mm), the 32GB JetFlash V60 can store all personal files, music, digital photos, and even full-length HDTV movies and still have space left for work or school documents, the company said.

The newest addition to Transcend's Value series of JetFlash drives, the 32GB JetFalsh V60 is also equipped with a suite of software tools designed for computer users who are always on the go. The software suite can be installed to run directly from the JetFlash drive when you plug it in, and includes 7 time-saving data management functions, including: Website AutoLogin, PC-Lock, Mobile Favorites, Secret-Zip encryption, Mobile E-mail, DataBackup and Online Update. The V60 also supports Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista, Mac and Linux, providing seamless data exchange between different operating systems.

The new pen drive can be plugged directly into the USB port on your desktop or notebook for fast, easy data transfer and storage.

Offered in an assortment of bright, pearl-accented colors, the JetFlash V60 is now available in 1-GB, 2-GB, 4-GB, 8-GB, 16-GB and 32-GB capacities.

The pen drive carries a 3-year warranty and is available from Supertron Electronics and Mediaman Infotech, the national distributors, at MRP of Rs.7,300.
