Transcend Unveils High Speed CompactFlash Card

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Apr 22, 2008

Transcend Information has released its new Extreme Speed 300X CompactFlash card - a high-speed flash memory card.

The CompactFlash cards operate in dual-channel Ultra DMA mode 5 (default setting), the fastest speed available for CF cards. This interface allows Transcend's 300X CF cards achieve very fast read/write speeds of up to 45MB per second on an average (actual transfer speeds may vary due to host hardware, software and usage).

This makes consecutive shooting, and non-stop video recording with today's high-performance digital single lens reflex cameras (DSLR) easier.

With a view to making glitch-free data communication, and preventing data corruption or missing files, Transcend's 300X CF cards are built with an advanced Error Correction Code (ECC) that automatically detects and corrects errors during data transfer.

Transcend's Extreme Speed 300X CF cards are now available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities. They carry Transcend's international Lifetime Warranty.
