Transtek Releases MSI Nvidia VGA Cards

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Jul 21, 2007

Transtek Infoways - the authorized distributors for MSI motherboards and VGA cards in India - has made available its latest Nvidia PCI Express VGA cards in India. The distributor plans to tie up with more channel partners to market the product across the country.

The new series includes NX8800GTS-T2D320E-HD OC, NX8600GT-T2D256E-OC, and NX8500GT-TD256E.

Talking about Transtek's channel strategies, Naren Dubey, director of Transtek Infoways, said, "Transtek is focusing on MSI VGA cards in the country and will be actively engaging the channel in this initiative. We will tie up with focused partners in each city specifically to promote VGA cards. These partners will be well-supported through adequate availability of literatures, evaluation units, and technical support."

These cards are available from Transtek branches in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Noida, and Gurgaon.

"MSI VGA cards carry a 3-year warranty in India and is directly supported by MSI offices in India," informed Dubey. The company plans to promote the entire range of MSI VGA cards and hence is carrying entry- , mid- and high-end VGA cards ex-stock in the country.
Will these cards increase Nvidia's market?

BFG and other copanies offer a lifetime warranty.Which I think will hurt your sales.Three years isnt a long time to the eye's of a gammer even if he upgrades later. I bought two BFG'S 6800 GT'S OC because they are life time warranty. If your a custom builder like me you also look at the warranty issue. I built one for a customer using BFG 8800 GT OC two of them. Have used EVA, ASUS. You might want to up your warranty alittle for sales, just my oppinion
