Vantec Takes On Apical Impex as Exclusive Disty
By

Mumbai, Jan 28, 2006
Thermal solutions provider Vantec recently announced the appointment of Mumbai-based Apical Impex as its exclusive distributor for its range of products in India.
Tejas Sheth, director, Vantec, said, "We have appointed Ampical Impex as our new national distributor as they came up to our expectations for selling our products. Products sold by Vantec are not main line products, they are niche market products and are also expensive. They require lot of focus and patience for selling."
Vantec products are available across the countries in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Ahmedabad. Currently, the company is trying to promote the products in the metros.
Vantec is launching its NexStar range of casing in India through Apical Impex. The product is easy and convenient to use. "The casings are priced Rs 1,650 (MRP) and Rs 1,450 for channel partners. Warranty is one year and the after-sales service would be provided by Apical," Sheth said.
Vantec NexStar 260U2 comprises aluminum casing, fits a 2.5" hard drive, and USB 2.0. This tiny enclosure is easy to connect to any computer system, ideal for backup and easy to transport. This model comes with a carrying case that holds the enclosure and the USB2 cable.
Sheth said, "Currently, we are focusing on making the product available across the country. Once the brand is established, we'll come up with some more introductions in the second quarter, this year."
Founded in 1994, Vantec manufactures and develops total PC solutions for every computer user, from mainstream to enthusiast.
