Mumbai, Jul 4, 2008
Viewsonic Corporation, a provider of visual display products, has bagged top spot in the India standalone 22''widescreen LCD monitor category. As per IDC's Asia Pacific Quarterly PC Monitor Tracker, 1Q 2008, Viewsonic has topped the table with a 53.1% market share in terms of unit shipments.
Gautam Ghosh, country manager of Viewsonic Technologies said, "Big and widescreen LCD monitors today are an important segment of the India visual display market, owing to their obvious benefits. Viewsonic's leadership in the 22" non-bundled LCD monitor segment reinforces the fact that we are on the right growth path in India. I thank the entire channel fraternity for helping us move in the right direction. This news will help us to further reinforce and strengthen our brand perception in the Indian market."
In alignment with the growth plans for India, Viewsonic recently introduced two new series of LCD monitors for the Indian market. The VX62 series of LCD monitors come with up to 20,000:1 contrast ratio. Targeted toward the government offices and classrooms, the new energy saving Green LCDs display from ViewSonic - VA1918wm and VA1928wm deliver affordable technology. These LCD monitors are backed by a 3-year limited warranty on parts and labor.

First you said " Viewsonic No 1 in all Wide TFT Product Line - 2007- Q2."
Then you said 17" Wide in Q3 2007.
Then you said 19" Wide in Q4 2007.
Now you say 22" Wide in Q1 2008.
I shall predict what you will say in Q2 2008-- 26" Wide. ( See i know it so is the channel Community),,,, Regret losing some people....... |

It would have been nice if it was mentioned, what percentage of the total market of LCD monitors does 22" contribute to. Already, dents have started appearing in their support (like for a TFT with dead pixels to be replaced, there should be minimum 6 dead pixels). Viewsonic have an advantage of multiple models suiting to various requirment. But is support goes like this, then may be no. 1 in 32.75" or 40.34" TFT (which they only have) |
