Watchguard Announces Partner Program
By
Sushmita Mukherjee
Mumbai, Apr 24, 2007
Watchguard Technologies is announcing a new channel partner program, which includes a co-operative program to help partners fund marketing programs, free marketing consultations to help plan and execute marketing programs, and the delivery of monthly turn-key marketing campaigns.
"Our new channel partner program is focused on reaching out to our resellers and making it easier to sell WatchGuard products. New program elements include a co-op program and easy to customize turn-key marketing campaigns which are translated into seven languages," said Robert Ward, director, marketing communications and channel marketing, Watchguard.
These campaigns include a variety of customizable direct mail, electronic direct mail, ad artwork and copy, sample landing pages, sales presentations, scripts for telemarketing, and tips on maximizing effective use of campaigns.
"We are focusing our time on working with our partners to fund marketing plans that will achieve our mutual goals for driving revenue from WatchGuard products," stated Ward.
"Our partners are enthusiastic about the provision of co-op, free marketing expertise, and the ready availability of customizable co-branded marketing materials," he added.
Lately the vendor is going through lot of management changes. The company became a private limited from a public undertaking but is optimistic that this move will not affect their relationship with partners.
"WatchGuard has been committed and will remain committed to the channel even through this change. Our WatchGuard Secure Partners (WSP), Direct Market Resellers (DMR), and our Distributors worldwide have responded positively and look forward to another productive year with us," he explained.
Watchguard has also two new owners- Francisco Partners and Vector Capital and is planning to expand. To do this they are first focusing on improving current operations and products.
When this is complete, the plan is to evaluate additional products to increase revenue and profitability. These products may be developed internally or they may be acquired.
