Watchguard, Dell in Strategic Alliance

Watchguard has entered into a strategic partnership with Dell India to offer network security solutions to the businesses. These solutions are integrated with Watchguard's award winning Unified Threat Management (UTM) network security appliances.
Watchguard and Dell will share resources to reach approximately 500,000 small-to-medium-sized enterprises with Dell's computer systems and Watchguard's UTM appliances. The alliance will enable small- and mid-size enterprise customers to have complete, end-to-end IT and network security solutions from a single source - Dell.
Sunil Sara, country manager (India and SAARC) of Watchguard Technologies said, "Both Watchguard and Dell consider India a strategic market, and we are coming together to jointly address the growing market requirements. This alliance will provide integrated end-to-end solutions from one vendor. The network solutions coupled with security options will be a win solution for the customers."
Under the agreement, Dell will offer Watchguard Firebox X UTM appliances as a part of Dell's solutions offerings to its customers in India. In addition, Watchguard and Dell will jointly develop marketing and business development plans to reach hundreds of thousands of businesses nationwide.
