WeP TOP-UPS Dons A New Look With Added Features

Bangalore-based WeP Peripherals, the IT peripheral products, solutions and services enterprise provider, showcased its new value-added TOP-UPS designed by mangement consultany company Shining Emotional Surplus.
The new design aims to move the UPS from its conventional below-the-working-desk spot to become part of the working desktop. The new system incorporates value-added features such as a mobile phone charger, clock and CD rack in an effort to transform it from a lackluster below-the-table service to a funky desktop accessory.
Speaking on the new design, Mrinmoy Mukherjee, COO, Shining Emotional Surplus, said, "When we received the brief to create this product, our creative team was convinced that it had to break the conventional norms of designing in order to stand out in a crowd, not just in India, but globally as well. That's how we came up with the idea of a UPS that combines utility with an exceptional aesthetic appearence and a host of value-added features."
He added, "The way this product has turned out reaffirms our dedication to innovation in terms of design, features and quality to deliver 'reduced effort and increased comfort', which will ensure the endurance of the product in the market."
According to Shombit Sengupta, founder of the Bangalore based consultany company, "Our product design philosophy is to have a scientific and sensorial product design approach. We are now setting a global example by understanding consumer needs and manifesting it through fabulous product design."
The new-look UPS is already under production and is available in Mumbai. It will soon be available in Bangalore and the rest of the country through WeP's 264 existing channel partners. The company is also planning to expand its channel network.
The price of TOP-UPS is approx. Rs 5,000 and comes with a three-year warranty..The servicing of the product is taken care of by WeP.
