Winshuttle, a provider of user-enabled data management applications for use with SAP, recently announced plans to invest US$ 1 million
for its development center in India.
Founded in 2003 by Dr. Vikram Chalana, the company is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, USA.
Winshuttle's office in the IT Park Chandigarh is the R&D arm of the company that develops software products to enable large companies using SAP (enterprise resource planning software), to transfer data back and forth from normal Windows-based applications like Excel and Access.
According to Chalana, "The company has seen meteroic rise logging 800 percent growth in the last three years and hopes to double its US$10 million turnover in the current FY."
"There are over 46,000 SAP installations all over the world, and at the moment we have been able to tap only 1 percent of the entire market with our innovative solution which affords a huge opportunity for the company to grow," added his brother, Vishal Chalana, director-engineering services, who holds the fort in the local development center.
The company is looking for more space to accommodate more engineers with the growing demand for its products in India.
