XFX has launched two new graphics cards - XFX GeForce GTX 295 and 285 - in the Indian market through Rashi Peripherals, the Mumbai-based distributor. As per the company, the XFX GeForce GTX 295 graphics card offers the memory volume and frequency of two GTX 260 cards. Officially, the XFX GeForce GTX 295 delivers 1792 MB of memory, a core frequency of 576 MHz and a heatsink that can dissipate 289 watts of power.

The XFX Nvidia GeForce 285 graphics card, which is targeted toward gamers, delivers 10% greater performance with a 648 MHz core, 1476 MHz shaders and 2.48 GHz of memory.

Commenting on these graphics cards, Kapal Pansari, Director (Marketing), Rashi Peripherals, said, "It is believed that gamers win against their competition unfairly because they use XFX graphics cards. We are confident that the gamers are going to swear by the performance of both these cards."

The dual-GPU-on-a-single-card set-up of XFX GTX 295 includes second generation Nvidia unified architecture, DirectX 10 support, PureVideo HD technology, PCI-Express 2.0, Nvidia HybridPower, Dual-link HDCP capability, and Nvidia PhysX and Nvidia CUDA technology.

Further, XFX GTX 285 features dual DVI, S-video output, HDTV, 1GB GDDR3 graphics memory, and 240 stream processors. The XFX GeForce GTX 295 and GeForce GTX 285 will be available through Rashi Peripherals at an estimated street price of Rs.39,000 and Rs.35,000 respectively with 3 years warranty.
