Offering two times the performance of its GeForce 8400 GS graphics cards, XFX said its new 9400 GT delivers vibrant video-watching with Nvidia PureVideo HD technology.
HDCP-capable, the 9400 GT ensures playback of encrypted Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD movie content when connected to HDCP-compliant displays.
Visual computing tasks such as photo archiving and photo sharing are a breeze with reduced CPU utilization and low power consumption. Also, the 9400 GT has full Microsoft Windows Media Center support, allowing users to offload tasks from the CPU, increasing productivity and enabling users to share, edit and manage photos and videos better than ever before, the company said.
With twice the gaming performance of prior generation graphics card in its class, the new card features a fully unified shader core that allocates processing power to geometry, vertex, physics or pixel shading operations.
Additionally, the 9400 GT is built to run with the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture that maximizes the 5 GT/s PCI Express 2.0 bandwidth. The PCI Express 2.0 products are fully backwards-compatible with existing PCI Express motherboards.
Other 9400 GT features include GigaThread technology, a Lumenex engine, 16x Anti-aliasing Technology, OpenGL optimization and dual-link capabilities that support displays with resolutions up to 2560 x 1600.
The 9400 GT will be available through Rashi Peripherals and its branches across India at an estimated street price of Rs.5,000 with a warranty of three years.
